Tent Camp in the Rain and Stay Dry, Eureka Backcountry 1 Tent with Homemade Vestibule

Tent camp in the rain and stay dry. Don't cancel your next camping trip just because the forecast is for rain. Some of my best camping adventures have been during flash floods and heavy rainfall. This video shows how I used my backpacking tent last weekend during heavy rainfall. I stayed dry, warm and cozy. On several occasions I crawled out of my nest and ventured into the wet forest, experiencing the beauty of the landscape, pretending I was an animal. My tent is a Eureka Backcountry 1, with floor size of 8 x 3 feet and height of 3 feet 2 inches at the center dome; weight 3 pounds 14 ounces. Last year I added a vestibule to the tent. It was cut from a ground cloth and velcro-ed to the existing rainfly. The vestibule is used keep my boots, backpack and cookstove dry.
