ALGUNOS DATOS DE LA RESERVA PAISAJISTICA NOR YAUYOS COCHAS
La Reserva Paisajística Nor Yauyos-Cochas se encuentra ubicada a 290 km (vía Carretera Central) o 320 km (vía Cañete) al sureste de la ciudad de Lima (8 horas). Con sus 221 268,48 hectáreas, es una de las zonas de mayor belleza escénica del Perú. Destacan sus nevados como el Pariacacca, lagunas de aguas turquesas y cristalinas adornadas de bellas cascadas color blanco, cielo azul, profundos cañones y quebradas, bosques de queñuales y rodales de puyas Raimondi. Además, en la zona es posible encontrar complejos arqueológicos y gran diversidad de aves.
Tiene como principal objetivo conservar la parte alta del río Cañete y la cuenca del río Pachacayo, así como los diversos ecosistemas que la conforman. Sus habitantes han aprendido a convivir armoniosamente con su entorno, y por supuesto, respetando la biodiversidad que existe en la zona.

These are the final two days of a 10 day walk myself and 8 others did in July/August 2012 for the John Muir Trust. The John Muir Trust is a Scottish charity which has helped conserve wild places since 1983. We raised around £250 for the charity. Look them up!
On day 9 team A traveled from their wild camp to Glen Nevis campsite and team B and the camera traveled from Kinglochleven to meet them at the Glen Nevis campsite. On day 10 we split again and 3 of us (Team A (with camera)) walked to the end of the west highland way in Fort William and to buy tat. Team B (the other 4) climbed up Ben Nevis (Britain's highest mountain). We all regrouped at the end for a photo.
We would recommend this walk!
