Bought this bike a few months ago. The frame was a bit rough around the edges.
The original powder coat was scratched and crinkled and the decals were damaged. Only to be expected when a bike is over 20 years old.
I stripped it down and sent the frame to Argos Racing Cycles in Bristol for restoration. While they were doing that I set about replacing pretty much everything else. :-)
The handlebars, stem, bar-ends, forks and bottle cage are all carbon fibre.
The Blackjack M380 wheels are far lighter than the mags which I took off it.
It feels good to ride. Much lighter than it was. Very rigid and quick.
Road tyres help with that, I suppose.
Argos did an amazing job on the frame and i'm very happy with the bike now it's done.
A piece of cycling history restored beyond it's former glory.
