Turkish Delight - Sun, 21 Oct 2012 PST
In the middle of Turkey, in the heat of midsummer, tired, hungry and dripping with sweat, I was faced with a decision – set up camp next to a well of fresh water before sunset or push on, hoping to reach the Roman ruins of Adada before dark. According to the guidebook, Adada’s watchman, Hasan, provides accommodation to tired trekkers who trickle in from the St. Paul Trail. ... Read News

Camping - Wikipedia, The Free Encyclopedia
Tent camping sites often cost less than campsites with full of equipment or gear that is intended to make camping a more comfortable activity. The gear used in camping is crucial and it can be a life saver.

Renegade Tent Heater

This camp and/or hunting heater incorporates renewable energy practices while getting more use from the campfire. It is also capable of being an emergency survival heater, or a personal sleeping bag warmer. Yes, it's that versitle, and safe!! See, here at Renegade Camping Equipment, we wanted to do something new in the camping world. We wanted to get the most out of the free energy source that's available while camping, (the high energy source of the campfire)!! We could imagine camping in comfort, and saftey. No matter how cold the temperature was. Power sources for camping, has typically incorporated the use of some type of fuel to take camping with you, and usually that fuel would be propane. With this gas you could then bring, heat into a tent, and if you are extremely careful!! You would be able to warm your tent, but at the cost of saftey issues. The most immediate concern is the issue of something extremely hot being in the tent with you. These products heat through radiant heat. And to achieve warmth through radient heat the heat source must achieve high temperatures, high enough to warm the air in the area. Many times, radiant heaters reach a operating temperature over 650 C, 1200 F. With temperatures this high, it isn't hard to see that this could be a threat, and a definite saftey concern.

The Renegade Tent Heater doesn't heat with fuels that has to be bought. But heats with fuel that is found readily, in most camping areas (Firewood). And heating with free firewood is the most cost effective way. So get ready to save money!!

Our heater operates at temperatures, that are safe in comparison. Heating at an average temperature of 140 F or 60 C, and the heat is not transfered through radiance, but through convection.

Convection heat carries its heat in the air. Not needing to achieve an extreme high temperature to warm the air around you, since comfortable air temperature is 75 F or 24 C. The heater is designed to operate in any variable temperature between; outdoor temperature and 200 F or 94 C (keep in mind this is air temperature, not metal). and is completely controlled manually, by the turn of a knob. Warm air installs heat into tent, or sleeping bag instantly. Yet Warm air takes time to burn, and most products or safe at this temperarue. The second concern with propane tent heaters is Co2 poisoning (propane tent heaters emitt Co2). This is a very real concern, over 400 americans die from accidental Co2 poisoning, each year. Our Renegade doesn't emitt any poisonous gases, and the air, has been warmed, and can be breathed with no threat of Co2 poisoning. It is actually able to deliver, to the tent, or sleeping bag; fresh, clean, and warm air. So with the many benefits, We hope you will choose, our heater, for your outdoor camping needs.

The life you save may be the one you care most about.
